This is a passion project: a self-initiated concept for the kind of shop I love, not a commissioned client website. Stock, prices and events are illustrative, and nothing is for sale.

Overview
SideQuest is a concept for an independent card and game shop with a friendly counter, a busy events calendar and an online store full of nerdy things: trading cards, comics and graphic novels, board games, Warhammer and collectables. A companion phone app ties it together with XP, earned for buying items, joining events and donating unwanted games, cards and comics back to the shop. This one is a passion project, designed because it is the shop I would love to have nearby.
The challenge
Game shops are community spaces first and retailers second, but their websites are often a plain product list. SideQuest needed to feel like a place you want to hang out, make it easy to browse a large and varied catalogue, and give people a reason to keep coming back beyond a single purchase.
The solution
A dark, purple-lit interface sets the mood for game night, with big aisle categories, filters that change for each kind of product, and a quick-add basket. Events can be booked in a few taps, and the Side Quest Guild turns everything into XP: spend in the shop, attend an event or donate items to level up through four ranks and unlock rewards. A companion app prototype carries the membership card, XP and bookings in your pocket.
